As a chemistry major, he stood out among his classmates as a student leader who was heavily involved in the classroom as well as a member of several study groups. He graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors in 1989.
Ohio State University
Immediately after graduating from Bowling Green, David Soria went on to Ohio State University in pursuit of a doctoral degree. Transferring to such a significantly bigger school was a big transition for him, although he really took to his new settings and performed exceptionally well in his studies. He graduated with his M.D.in 1993.
Professional Training
After college, he went on to the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at
Case Western Reserve University and became the Chief Resident of the Program. Through the program, he worked at the MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. It was here that Dr. David Soria got his grounding in hands-on medical work that would eventually serve towards a long and successful career.
